Hello and Welcome.
My name is Ian Alexander and I am seeking the DFL endorsement to represent District 58B, encompassing our North Minneapolis, North Loop, and Downtown neighborhoods, in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
I love living on the Northside and believe that it is necessary to continue the advocacy efforts of Representative Bobby Joe Champion and Senator Linda Higgins. After much encouragement from friends and neighbors, I decided to enter this race because I believe it is necessary to have a representative that can build bridges across party lines to accomplish common goals.
I have experienced many ups and downs as a home- and small-business owner in North Minneapolis. However, I have never considered leaving the area; not for a moment! It is our amazing neighbors and our wonderful community’s ability to come together in good times and bad that drive my commitment to serving the area.
As your representative, I will work each day to promote economic vitality, bring about measures to improve public safety, support the public schools, and reform government programs to promote self-reliance.
